If three-fourths of our country say they believe in God ....

....then how can nearly that same percent of people say they believe in evolution??

The question must be asked: What is your main source for believing in God??  And what is the main authority you use to establish validity of what you believe??

A comfortable majority say they believe in the Bible, yet they obviously don't feel comfortable enough to also say they believe that either Satan, or the Holy Spirit exist ...as a clear majority attest to holding this rather indecisive view of their commitment, or lack of it.

Also, how can the majority say they believe in the Bible, and they believe in evolution ...when the Bible clearly teaches a Creation, which does not even remotely leave room for any evolutionary consideration??

So, what is the authority ...or standard by which people believe??

It seems that people don't really know what they believe ...

...but, one thing does remain very clear.  What is that, you ask??

Most people don't like to be told that they don't really know what they believe.

And they clearly don't like to give thought to that which they have not given much thought.

So, what authority do the majority of people use ...as to the source of what they believe??

Themselves.

(Or the majority, who, not unlike themselves, have not given it much thought ...but, often get rather surly if told so.)
